Liam St John's Art Centre, Listowel, 7th November 2008  Reply with quote

It was a lovely, intimate venue. A beautiful church transformed into what is now the arts centre. Approximately 100 people in the audience.
Stage height about 2 feet.

Liam wore a smart suit, open necked white shirt accented by a colourful scarf of Marion's. He was bare footed.

Another exceptional performance, songs old and new, including:

Be Good

Forgiven

Don't Go

Saved

Is your Love In Vain?

Better Days Ahead

Worry Not

Lakes of Pontchartrain

Gaelic Songs

Reels

Mi Mi Dreaming Song

As it was Liam's Birthday, a surprise birthday cake, complete with candles was presented to him. We all sang Happy Birthday to Liam as he blew out the candles. He cut the cake into slices and shared it with everyone.

This was a very special night.
Liam excelled himself, his voice superb, everyone was mesmerised.
Lots of bantering with the audience and plenty of people singing along.

Hi Shelley and Fran, great review, I wondered what happened on Liams birthday, lovely he got a cake and you all got to share it, wish we had gone to Listowel too now. we missed out on cake ha ha. Churches are lovely venues for Liam's music, the atmosphere is magical and the acoustics are usually good. Nice to meet you both again. Hope you enjoyed Prenup in Dublin,
